REFUGEE SUPPORT

Boots on the Ground support in Ukraine and Poland

From the first days of the war, volunteers from Cleveland and Philadelphia took to action and made their way to refugee camps on the Polish-Ukrainian border. During their time there, they provided hot meals, medical aid, monetary aid, logistical assistance, and emotional support to the thousands of Ukrainians looking for safety.

Through the donations of our supporters, Cleveland Maidan Association is able to support the volunteers and refugees directly via monetary transfers and shipments of medical supplies and humanitarian aid.

HUMANITARIAN AID

We are providing humanitarian aid to refugees and some of the hardest hit cities in Ukraine (i.e. Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy). This is possible due to the generous donations of both the local and international community.

  • 320,000 pounds of food, clothing, and hygiene products for adults and children have been shipped to Ukraine.

  • 2,500 hot meals have been passed out to refugees at the Ukrainian-Polish border.

  • $5,000 of medical aid handed out in Medyka, Poland by our team members and volunteers.

  • 24 ambulances and other vehicles purchased to help transport the wounded and the displaced.

Financial support

We are financially supporting organizations in Ukraine who are aiding refugees:

  • $10,000 to Eleos Ukraine, a non-profit in Kyiv to help refugees, especially women and children

  • $10,000 to Anna-Maria Christian Foundation, a non-profit in Lviv that transports refugees and provides aid in hard to reach locations

  • $10,000 to I Am The Future Ukraine, a non-profit in Chernivtsi that supports orphaned and disabled children

  • $10,000 to Landing Cossack Sword, a non-profit in Ternopil that supports refugees

  • $7,000 to Generation Without Limits, a non-profit in Ivano-Frankivsk that houses and provides aid for displaced children

  • $6,000 to Let’s Unite, Brothers, a non-profit in Ternopil that supports refugees

  • $5,000 to Revived by Unity, a non-profit in Ternopil that supports refugees

  • $5,000 to Podilsko-Volynska Sich, a non-profit in Ivano-Frankivsk that supports refugees

If you would like your donation to go directly to helping refugees, you can earmark it on your donation or send us an email at info@clevelandmaidan.org.
